LUSÍADAS SAÚDE PORTO SAILING 2023
Another edition of the Lusíadas Saúde Porto Sailing Accessible Regatta returns to Porto, bringing two inclusive and absolutely memorable events to the northern waters.
On September 9 and 10, 2023, the 13th edition of the Regata do Infante and the Women On Water Portugal 2023 will be held at the Douro Marina, which for the fourth time is taking place on the Douro River.
Similar to previous years, Lusíadas Saúde returns to Douro Marina to promote healthy lifestyles through competitive sailing, boat rides, and awareness for inclusion, organized by BBDouro. In the words of Vasco Antunes Pereira, CEO of Lusíadas Group, this is an event “promoting non-exclusion, as sailing is for everyone”.

SUSTAINABILITY
As part of the organizing body of the Lusíadas Saúde Porto Sailing 2023 event, BBDouro is responsible for raising social awareness about fuel consumption. We therefore present the following hypotheses for the routes during the races:
- Use of Electric Scooters, available at various sharing points in the city of Porto, visible here.
- Rental of Bicycles and/or scooters at Oportomotorent, in Douro Marina.
- Communication among sailors for sharing personal vehicles.
BBDouro will provide all athletes participating in the event with a cloth bag containing:
- Reusable aluminum bottle GRACE
- Earth Water single-use bottles
These bottles are provided by BBDouro, but we recommend that athletes bring their own bottles to reduce unnecessary expenses.
Lunches during the regattas will be provided:
- in eco-friendly packaging formats;
- and with sustainable, sourced locally, and made with fresh ingredients.
All paper supports related to the event will be avoided:
- The use of QR codes will be promoted.
- Prints will be made on Fegol Eco Paper: chlorine-free and acid-free paper with alkaline.

Day 2 | Lusíadas Saúde Porto Sailing 2023
The Sunset Party by Lusíadas Saúde on Saturday night was a success! Competitors from the Regata do Infante, Women on Water and employees from Lusíadas Saúde and BBDouro enjoyed an evening of socializing, music, dancing, food and a giveaway or two.

The forecast made us shiver slightly at the BBDouro team meeting at 08:00. We were prepared for rain, but we’d all prefer an uneventful day.

Friday marked the official start of another edition of Lusíadas Saúde Porto Sailing with the Women on Water Portugal 2023 Practice Session and the Skipper’s Meeting for the 13th Regata do Infante.
