Book the morning of March 28 and join the BBDouro Nautical Experiences team for your first sailing lesson with the Adult Academy.
For one morning, we will once again open our doors to offer a first lesson to anyone who wants to experience this wind-and-sea sport: sailing.
Learn the basic principles of sailing on land and then venture out onto the Douro River with our experienced skippers in a one-and-a-half-hour experience at Douro Marina.
Program
This day is dedicated to anyone over 18 years old who wants to try a sailing lesson.
Registration is free and must be completed through the registration form, with spots limited to availability. We will have several boats available, as well as different time slots for registration. Each lesson will last one and a half hours.
There is no need to bring special clothing or equipment for this lesson, but we recommend wearing practical clothing and sports footwear. Please note that the activity may involve some refreshing splashes of water.

The BBDouro Nautical Experiences Adult Sailing Academy
The BBDouro Nautical Experiences Adult Sailing Academy is a project that we have been developing since the first day of our history. It began with Diogo Barros’ (CEO) conviction about the need to innovate and facilitate access to regular sailing in Portugal.
This is how a program designed for adults was born, promoting both the learning of sailing and the regular practice of the sport in a comfortable and welcoming environment. The main goal is to instill a passion for sailing and the sea, allowing each participant to experience it in their own way—whether for leisure, competition, or even as a potential career.
A vision that has come to life since 2012, with the help of instructors who have passed on – and continue to pass on – to the hundreds of students we have received, the love and passion for this sport of ours.
