- Coming from the north:
– Cross the Arrábida Bridge (IC1);
– Take the 1st exit towards Afurada;
– Keep left towards “Afurada”;
– At the roundabout take the 3rd exit;
– When you reach the river, turn left;
– The Douro Marina is on the right.
- Coming from the south:
– Following the IC1;
– Leave in the direction of Canidelo/Coimbrões;
– Turn right onto Rua Particular do Fojo;
– At the roundabout take the 1st exit towards Rua Nova do Fojo;
– At the traffic roundabout the 2nd exit towards Rua da Bélgica;
– At the roundabout take the 2nd exit towards Rua do Emissor;
– After 500 meters turn left towards Rua do Fontão;
– At the roudabout take the 1st exit towards Rua Manuel Marques Gomes;
– After 700 meters turn right towards Rua do Cabedelo;
– The Douro Marina is on the left.

Other information:
This day is dedicated to all children between the ages of 5 and 16.
Registration is free and on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to the capacity of each boat. We will have several boats available as well as several time slots to sign up for.
During the lunch break the activities will be closed, as will registration. Registration for the Junior Open Day does not include lunch for participants.
NAUTICAL CHALLENGES
Challenge your children to complete all the nautical challenges: learn to make sailor’s knots, see the wind, distinguish the various parts of a boat and much more!
SAILING TRIALS
Are we going to get our feet wet and sail a sailboat for the first time? We have half-hour trips for all participants, on boats specially designed for teaching sailing to young people.

BBDouro Nautical Experiences Junior Sailing Academy
The BBDouro Nautical Experiences Junior Sailing Academy and Sailing Camps are projects that we have been developing since the first day of our history. They started from Diogo Barros’ (CEO) conviction that it was necessary to change the way sailing was introduced to children in Portugal.
This is how a program was born, aimed at children and young people, which promotes learning to sail boats in a healthy and comfortable environment. The main goal is to instill a love for sailing and the sea and to let each one experience it in their own way, whether for leisure, competition or as a possible profession.
A vision that has been realized for 12 years with the help of instructors who have passed on, and continue to pass on, a love and passion for this sport of ours to the hundreds of students we have received.
