WE ARE BBDOURO
BBDouro entered the Portuguese nautical market in 2012 as a sailing academy. Over the years, we have established ourselves in the sector by expanding our private and corporate services beyond sailing lessons to include team-building activities, boat tours, maintenance, repairs, and boat brokerage.
Today, we are a company specialized in nautical experiences and services, based at Douro Marina, on the banks of the River Douro. We aspire to be recognized for our excellence and are committed to promoting and developing sailing as an accessible sport for all.
We are the tour operator with the largest fleet of recreational boats in the north, with the capacity to give sailing lessons to adults and children and nautical licenses training, as well as to carry out sightseeing tours, team building actions and corporate events (with the capacity to receive 160 people simultaneously). In Portugal, BBDouro also has the highest visibility when it comes to the creation of on-boat marketing and advertising strategies.
We created BBDouro ForALL in 2014, our brand dedicated to leveraging social responsibility projects such as Solidarity Sailing and Sailing Without Barriers.
In 2022 and 2023, we expanded our business scope with the acquisition of Ondastar and Douro Yachts, two renowned companies in the market for maintenance, repair, and sale of recreational boats, strengthening our position in the nautical industry in northern Portugal.
With the start of 2024 and after two years of work to reorganize our structure and services, we presented a new reality centered on a single brand – BBDouro Group – with three business areas: BBDouro Nautical Experiences, BBDouro Boat Services and BBDouro Yachts & Brokerage.
In June 2024, our rudder began to navigate the 210 km of the Douro River, with the announcement of the acquisition of FeelDouro, a leading company in nautical tourism in the Douro with two bases of operation in Douro Marina and Pinhão. This is an important milestone in our journey and will bring significant benefits to all our partners and clients.
BBDouro Group also holds the operating rights to the Invictus Cruises brand, dedicated to exclusive premium tours on the Douro River, which has been part of its offer since 2022.
Today, we have three offices, a workshop, two warehouses, three customer service areas, a fleet of more than 40 boats and a team of 45 people who guarantee the quality associated with BBDouro services on a daily basis.
We are far from the container from which we set sail on this adventure, but we will continue to navigate towards a better future.
