BBDouro made its debut in the Portuguese nautical market in 2012 as a sailing academy. Over the past years, we have earned our place in the sector by expanding our private and corporate services. oday, we are a reputable business on the Douro River that specializes in nautical experiences and services. We are committed to promoting sailing as an inclusive activity and and to be recognized by our expertise.
With the largest fleet of recreational boats in the northern region of Portugal, we are the top tour operator and can teach both adults and children to sail, offer training and nautical courses, conduct team-building activities, and host corporate events for up to 160 people at once. In Portugal, BBDouro also has the highest visibility when it comes to the creation of on-boat marketing and advertising strategies.
We established BBDouro ForALL in 2014, our brand dedicated to driving social responsibility projects, such as Sailing for a Cause and Sailing Without Barriers.
In 2022 and 2023, we expanded our business scope with the acquisition of Ondastar and Douro Yachts, two renowned companies in the market for maintenance, repair, and sale of recreational boats, strengthening our position in the nautical industry in northern Portugal.
With the start of 2024, and after two years of work in reorganizing our structure and services, we introduced a new reality centered around a single brand – BBDouro Group – with three business areas: BBDouro Nautical Experiences, BBDouro Boat Services, and BBDouro Yachts & Brokerage.
BBDouro Group also holds the operating rights for the Invictus Cruises brand, dedicated to exclusive cruises on the Douro River in luxury boats, which has been part of our offerings since 2022.
Today, we have three offices, a workshop, two warehouses, two customer service spaces, a fleet with over 30 boats, and a team of 36 people who ensure daily the quality associated with BBDouro’s services.
We are far from the container from which we set sail on this adventure, but we will continue to navigate towards a better future.
