In addition to ensuring high-quality instruction, BBDouro’s primary objective as a nautical training school is to make sure that each of our students feels comfortable and independent when navigating.
Powerboat Training enables our charter students, or anyone else, to increase their confidence in the autonomous control of any boat.
This course is intended for people with boating licenses (basic skipper or higher) who want to:
- Improve their practical experience in operating a motorboat.
- Acquire the necessary confidence to independently take command/governance.
- Refresh knowledge that may be less present for various reasons.
- Acquire new practical skills.

Cabin boat with a length of 6.5 meters and an outboard motor with 115 hp.
RIGID INFLATABLE BOAT
Rigid hull boat with 5.35 meter floats and 50 hp outboard engine.
WHERE WILL YOU SAIL?
Our boating training sessions are held at Douro Marina and in the Estuary of Douro Natural Reserve.

DISABLED SAILING
At BBDouro, teaching and practicing sailing have no limits. Our Disabled Sailing program, on the INCA Lusíadas ForALL boat, is designed according to the needs and knowledge of each of our sailors.
JUNIOR ACADEMY
Welcome to BBDouro’s Junior Academy, where every weekend on the Douro River we teach children aged 5 to 18 how to sail and foster their passion for the sport and the sea.
SAILING CAMPS
BBDouro offers the greatest Summer and Easter camps in Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto. Children aged 5 to 15 years old will enjoy fun-filled weeks at sea, with wind, sun, and sailing.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Sailing lessons tailored to each sailor’s schedule and availability, whether they are learning with a friend or on their own.
FOILING ACADEMY
The sailing academy for daring and for any sailor who wants to improve their foiling abilities. For those who dare to fly just above the water, we offer a variety of possibilities in private lessons or training camps.
SAILING EXPERIENCE
During a two-hour cruise along the Douro River, you will experience the unique sensation of using just the wind to move forward and feel the adrenaline of the boat gliding on the water.
