These are weeks of fun, sea, wind, sun and sailing for children up to the age of 15, at Easter or in the summer.
We think sailing is more than just a sport; it’s a life-changing activity that fosters personal development and the development of important skills. With the aid of a skilled team of monitors who share our passion for the sea and this sport, we customize our instruction to each child’s age and level of experience.

Easter Sailing Camp

Sailing Camps Conditions
- The use of flotation devices is mandatory. They are provided by BBDouro.
- Lunch is included in the registration fee.
- All sailing lessons are conducted under the supervision of a trained instructor.
- Sailors must be able to swim and accept BBDouro’s Junior Sailing Academy regulations.

WHAT ARE THE DAYS LIKE IN OUR SAILING CAMPS?
1. Practical and theoretical lessons on sailing.
2. Exploring the River Douro aboard various types of boats suitable for teaching and practicing sailing with children.
3. Activities and nautical games to promote team spirit.
4. Exciting adventures, including cleaning the beach of the nature reserve and lots of diving.
5. The day is divided into two shifts on the water - morning and afternoon - with lunchtime spent on land.

WHERE WILL THEY SAIL?
Our sailors learn to sail in a protected sailing area free from strong winds, currents, and waves – in the natural reserve of the Douro estuary. Progression in sailors’ skills also signifies an expansion of the sailing area, gradually moving from the natural reserve to the rest of the Douro River and extending to the sea, along the coastal areas of Porto, Matosinhos, and Vila Nova de Gaia, near the Douro River entrance.

DISABLED SAILING
At BBDouro, teaching and practicing sailing have no limits. Our Disabled Sailing program, on the INCA Lusíadas ForALL boat, is designed according to the needs and knowledge of each of our sailors.
ADULTS ACADEMY
Welcome to BBDouro’s Adult Academy, where age and lack of time are no longer obstacles keeping any sailor from pursuing their passion for the sea and the sport.
JUNIOR ACADEMY
Welcome to BBDouro’s Junior Academy, where every weekend on the Douro River we teach children aged 5 to 18 how to sail and foster their passion for the sport and the sea.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Sailing lessons tailored to each sailor’s schedule and availability, whether they are learning with a friend or on their own.
SAILING EXPERIENCE
During a two-hour cruise along the Douro River, you will experience the unique sensation of using just the wind to move forward and feel the adrenaline of the boat gliding on the water.
