CASE STUDY | 25 ANOS TECNOCABEL
THE CHALLENGE
Tecnocabel had never held an event to celebrate the company’s anniversary.
Up until that point, the date had simply been celebrated with a cake and a few words for the staff.
For their 25th anniversary, they felt the need to do something different, engaging all teams, as a token of appreciation for all the hard work and dedication. The sky (or the sea) was the limit in their vision of a massive celebration where Tecnocabel and its employees would be the center of attention.
THE IDEA
The BBDouro team prepared a plan for “Tecnocabel Day.” A full day of activities and social moments commemorated the company’s 25 years in business and the contributions of its staff.
The day was broken up into three parts, with work done on everything from merchandise to transportation and entertainment.
The secret combination:
1) A Boat trip on the Douro River;
2) Lunch;
3) and a Party.
THE RESULT
The day started out with anticipation and excitement. To maintain the element of surprise, all planning was done in secrecy.
Upon arrival at BBDouro, the entire Tecnocabel team received a welcome package that included a bag, T-shirt, jacket, and hat. The 120 workers were separated into groups after dressing appropriate attire, and then they were assigned to different boats with different skippers.
Once on board, it was time to enjoy a sailing boat ride up the river to Ribeira. Photos, laughter, and a desire to learn to sail marked the morning.
Back at BBDouro, the transfer was prepared to take everyone to the next destination: Quinta da Torrebela. Employees were welcomed with a drink, and after a dance with the live band, were brought to a carefully planned late lunch to ensure an afternoon of fun and networking.
The best came with dessert: Herman José’s live performance had everyone in the room laughing and dancing, leaving them with plenty of stories to tell.
The Party? The party continued into the night, courtesy of the DJ.
The BBDouro team was on hand the entire time to make sure that everyone on the Tecnocabel team had a good time and that everything went according to plan.
