BEACH CLEAN-UP
Our commitment to cleaning the Douro River estuary
The monthly Beach Clean-Up is a BBDouro project that aims to clean the beach at the Douro Estuary Nature Reserve. During this event, our junior academy sailors and our instructors come together to collect all types of trash and waste present on the beach, from plastic to glass, cigarette butts and even tires.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
WHAT IS THE IMPACT OF THIS ACTION?
During each cleaning, our students collect around 10 kg of rubbish.
In this way, we hope to contribute to environmental awareness and education by helping to prevent and protect marine life in the Douro estuary.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Despite being an action developed only with our students and skippers, everyone can participate in the Beach Cleaning and contribute to the preservation of the beach and the Douro River.
To register, simply contact our team via email at info@bbdouro.com. Together we can make the difference!
