2nd Edition of Lusíadas Saúde Porto Sailing

As last year, the Lusíadas Group ensured the safety of all the athletes, guests and event staff by having a medical tent on site.

Just like last year, the Lusíadas Group ensured the safety of all the athletes, guests and Event staff by having a medical tent on site. Prepared to take care of everyone in any situation, these tireless health professionals were equipped with the necessary material to resolve emergencies immediately and with a well-defined plan for any situation.

WOW Portugal with 9 crews competing

Women On Water is an exclusive women’s regatta in which female sailors compete for the title of national champion in teams of 4 in the SB20 class. For the second year running, WoW Portugal is part of the Lusíadas Saúde Porto Sailing event, which this year brought awareness of social inclusivity to the Douro. Right in front of the Douro Marina, nine teams competed for the title. After just two races in the final, the Ladies First team of Carolina João, Federica Franchi, Joana Azevedo and Rita Gonçalves took home the cup. Second place went to the Back2Sail team with Inês Nolasco, Inês Gamito, Sara Mata and Maria João Passarinho. In third place was the Cheers team with Teresa Borges Coutinho, Rita Borges Coutinho, Mafalda Pereira and Mariana Almada. Congratulations to all the sailors who competed in the arduous tactical conditions of the Douro River. See you next year!

XI Regata do Infante brought 54 boats to the North

It was the second year running of the great Lusíadas Saúde Porto Sailing event that the 11th edition of the mythical Regata do Infante took place. This year we had a fantastic 54 boats competing on this course that passed through the Port of Leixões, Matosinhos, Douro Marina and Ribeira do Douro.

A morning with a medium wind and an afternoon with a stronger wind, in which employees of the Lusíadas Group who were sailing for the first time also took part!

Lusíadas ForALL boat inaugurated with love

The new Catamaran accessible to all was inaugurated on Saturday, September 18, 2021, by BBDouro Director Diogo Barros, together with Madalena, daughter of Vasco Antunes Pereira, CEO of the Lusíadas Saúde Group.

It was an informal moment, in which the BBDouro ForALL image was presented for the first time embraced by the Lusíadas Saúde brand, with the rudder “We know how to take care of everyone”.
