Have you ever seen an iconic purple brush sailing down the Douro River?
Natixis in Portugal is a Center of Excellence whose mission is to transform traditional banking by developing innovative solutions for Groupe BPCE’s business, operations and work culture worldwide, and joined the BBDouro Nautical Experiences fleet in April 2022.
Sport is one of the key axes of its Sustainability strategy. From communicating its brand on board to holding unique events, Natixis’ presence has been essential, not just as a partner, but as a true ally in our mission to inspire and make sailing an inclusive experience.
Our journey has been an exciting one. We are sailing together down the Douro River and towards a more inclusive future. Together, we are creating unforgettable moments and we want to share some of the successes of this partnership:
– Sailing Baptisms: Every week, Natixis employees have the opportunity to experience the thrill of using only the wind to move and feel the adrenaline of the boat moving across the water. This experience aims to provide moments of leisure and strengthen the bond between participants.
– WOW (Woman on Water): In 2023, we organized the only regatta with all-female crews in Portugal. The event was a celebration of sport and inclusion, ensuring that everyone, regardless of gender, has the same opportunities.
– Natixis Children’s Day: On Children’s Day, we planned a day full of fun activities where we combined our knowledge and passion for sailing with sustainability. The little ones had the opportunity to take a baptism and learn the basics of sailing at various educational stations.
– Round table: On June 6, we were invited to a round table on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in sport, promoted by Natixis and moderated by APPDI – Portuguese Association for Diversity and Inclusion. Together with Sports Embassy | SE, we debated important topics such as DEI in the workplace, adaptive sports and combating ableism.
