On April 4th, BBDouro Nautical Experiences opened its doors – and the decks of its fleet – to host travel agencies and DMCs (Destination Management Companies) at an Open Day, where we demonstrated firsthand what makes our experiences truly unique.
From the start, we aimed to make every guest feel at home. We greeted them with a Welcome Coffee at our office in Afurada – the perfect opportunity to introduce the team, share our story, showcase our fleet, and highlight the wide range of nautical experiences we offer on the Douro.
“I believe it’s a truly unique experience in the city of Porto, in the Douro region. In our case, working with the international market, particularly the American market, which is always looking for unique experiences beyond event days, this is a very innovative offering that tends to be highly appreciated by those who try it. As for the corporate side, what we experienced today was something we had never done before. So, we will recommend it to our clients because I believe that, besides strengthening bonds, everyone gains a better understanding of the importance of their role, and it’s a great metaphor for everyday life.”

However, this Open Day wasn’t about staying on dry land. We set up a program on the water, allowing our partners to truly experience the essence of BBDouro. From peaceful boat trips to thrilling Speedboat Tours, there was something for everyone – and time for it all.
Guests also had the chance to explore our Team Building activities, which blend adventure, teamwork, and fun. With the Douro as the stunning backdrop, we showed how corporate experiences can transform teams, create lasting memories, and strengthen connections.

“It was a very pleasant morning, and from our perspective as participants and partners, we also found it to be quite enriching, as we went through almost the entire BBDouro fleet. We were able to get a much more real and concrete perspective of what the experiences are like – we had adrenaline-filled moments, worked as a team, enjoyed food and drinks on board, and had time to relax. We were also accompanied by a dedicated team that is passionate about what they do, and I believe that from here, our communication with clients will be much easier.”
– Rafael Costa, Oporto Adventure Tours
Throughout the morning, as we boarded and disembarked, we accomplished our goal: to introduce ourselves, share how we work, and, most importantly, show how we can help create unforgettable experiences for your clients.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us on board!
