In 2025, we stay true to our purpose, driven by passion and a strong commitment to sustainability.
After an incredible 2024, with more than 25 beach cleanups led by our Junior Academy and Sailing Camps, we cleared over 300 kg of waste from the Douro’s shores and the Atlantic coast. Our inclusive ForALL team proudly returned to the 14th Infante Regatta, championing diversity and equality on the waters we love. Thanks to the Moustache Miles program, generous donations from the BBDouro community, and our committed MoBros, our Movember initiative raised $1,000 — a true reminder that real change starts with action.
We remained firmly committed to our zero-plastic policy:
We provided reusable bottles to all our staff and Adult Academy students.
Promoting the use of reusable bottles at the Junior Academy, during summer camps, and at our regattas;
Earth Water bottles available at all our team building events and at the bar service during our sightseeing tours, generating over 300 meals donated to the UN World Food Programme.
Planned Activities for 2025
Our initiatives continue to grow:
- Beach Cleanups – Monthly sessions organized by the Junior Academy and weekly sessions during the Sailing Camps. The Junior Academy’s monthly beach cleanups are open to the entire BBDouro community (see the calendar below and contact us to sign up).
- Solidarity Open Day – Our team at BBDouro Group comes together to share the joy of sailing and make nautical experiences accessible to everyone.
- Inclusive Regatta – 15th edition of the Infante Regatta, where everyone is welcome.
- Pinktober and Movember – Two awareness campaigns promoting a better future, both on and off the water.
