Every year, Movember reminds us of the importance of taking care of men’s health, emphasizing the importance of prevention, monitoring and early diagnosis of diseases that affect millions of men.
Since 2013, BBDouro Group has been proud to be part of this movement – and, as is tradition, we’re back at the rudder with reinforced moustaches and a goal: to raise 1,000 euros for the Movember Foundation.
But we like challenges… and overcoming them. This year, we managed to raise 1,032 euros in donations, a figure that reflects the spirit of solidarity, the strength of the We Do Sailing community and the will to make a difference on and off the water.
And no one was left out of this initiative. At BBDouro Group, the Movember spirit is more than donating, it’s living the cause and giving it shape: 15 moBros moustaches appeared throughout the month – some proudly bushy, others more discreet, but all with the same purpose. Even those who can’t grow a moustache made a point of taking part, showing that what really matters is commitment.
On the water, a special mention goes to our Junior and Adult Academies, who gave their all during the month of November and sailed 820 miles, transforming their efforts into 492 euros in donations. Every mile sailed proves that passion for the sea can go hand in hand with life-saving causes.
Over the years, Movember has reminded us of something essential: when we unite people, purpose and passion, impact is inevitable. Our community has shown, once again, that sailing is much more than mastering the wind and the sails – it’s also about creating waves of change that go further than we imagine.
Because at BBDouro Group, sailing is also about caring.
