Friday, September 13, marked the official start of another edition of Lusíadas Saúde Porto Sailing with the Women on Water Portugal 2024 Training Session and the Skipper’s Meeting for the 14th Regata do Infante.
The day began with the Melges 15 gliding through the waters of the Douro River. The WOW athletes took advantage of the good weather to practice maneuvers on the boat and get to know the race course over 5 training sessions, preparing themselves for what is to come in the next few days.
In the evening, Sport Club do Porto welcomed the participants of the 14th Regata do Infante. The venue was filled with enthusiasm as registrations were confirmed, welcome bags handed out and the race committee briefed on the planning of the regatta and the social moments, ensuring that all the skippers are in line with the rules and routes for the big day.
For the BBDouro team, the morning and afternoon were spent setting up and making the final preparations for what is the biggest event in our calendar.

Lusíadas Saúde Porto Sailing is back in Porto for another unmissable edition! On September 14 and 15, 2024, the waters of the Douro River will be the stage for the biggest sailing event in northern Portugal, celebrating the 14th Regata do Infante and another edition of Women On Water Portugal.

For two days, the Douro Marina will be the epicentre of the various boat trips that will close this year’s edition of the Todos a Bordo program for Lusíadas Saúde employees and mark the 4th edition of another inclusive Lusíadas ForALL action.
