OPEN DAY BBDouro - Come and Sail With Us!
Following the pattern of previous years and after the success of the 2022 edition, we are pleased to open our doors again on June 3, 2023, offering everyone the chance to try this sport of wind and sea: sailing.
Whether you’re alone, with friends or with the family, come and visit BBDouro and we guarantee you won’t regret it. In fact, we guarantee it will be an unforgettable experience!
BBDouro
Since its launch in 2012 as a sailing academy, BBDouro has grown steadily. As well as expanding its private and corporate services, in 2022 we announced the acquisition of Ondastar, a company specializing in the marketing, maintenance and repair of pleasure boats. This acquisition allowed us to bring a new and fresh approach to the boating market in the north of Portugal. However, we’re not stopping there. Already this year, we have strengthened our position in the market with the purchase of Douro Yachts, a company with a history and reputation in the nautical market, also specializing in boat maintenance and repair.
With these acquisitions, BBDouro now has three companies, offering its customers a complete service throughout any type of nautical journey.
Where can you find us?
Located at the Douro Marina in Vila Nova de Gaia, BBDouro is a company dedicated to water sports and boat maintenance and repair.
During our Open Day, you will have the opportunity to sail on the Douro River, exploring the beauty of the Douro Estuary Nature Reserve. Come and join us on this nautical adventure and experience the thrill of sailing the waters of the Douro.

Useful information
This day is dedicated to everyone, from children aged 5 and up to adults of any age!
Children will have the opportunity to try out any of the boats in our Junior Academy fleet, which are specially designed for teaching sailing to young people. They can also opt for a trip with the adults on our Adult Academy boats.
Anyone with a motor and/or cognitive disability will also be able to sign up, because our adapted sailing boat – the INCA – will also be running tours.
So no one will be “on the ground” on this day!
Registration is free and on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to the capacity of each boat. Our Adult Academy fleet has a maximum capacity of 5 or 10 people on each trip, depending on the type of boat. We will have several boats available as well as several time slots to sign up for.
