About BBDouro Nautical Experiences
BBDouro was born from the dream of sailor and coach Diogo Barros, who has always believed that the sea and the wind have the power to transform people. We started out in 2012 in a simple container, with a small sailing academy, but with the genuine desire to teach sailing and open the doors to boating to those who had never had the opportunity. Since then, every step, every boat and every person who has crossed our path has helped shape who we are today.
We have grown with the Douro and the Atlantic on the horizon and with the same determination required of anyone facing the wind for the first time. We have expanded our services, built teams, welcomed new projects and embraced businesses and brands that share our values. We have always focused on excellence, safety and a deep respect for what it means to be at sea.
We operate from Douro Marina (Afurada, Vila Nova de Gaia) and Pinhão, with one of the largest fleets in the region and a team that believes in the impact that boating can have on people’s lives.
