LUSÍADAS SAÚDE PORTO SAILING 2023
Another edition of the Accessible Regatta Lusíadas Saúde Porto Sailing returns to Porto, bringing two inclusive and absolutely memorable events to the waters of the North.
On September 9th and 10th, 2023, the 13th Edition of the Regata do Infante and the 4th edition of Women On Water Portugal 2023 will take place at Douro Marina.
Similar to previous years, Lusíadas Saúde returns to Douro Marina to promote healthy lifestyles through competitive sailing, boat rides, and awareness for inclusion, organized by BBDouro. In the words of Vasco Antunes Pereira, CEO of Lusíadas Group, this is an event “promoting non-exclusion, as sailing is for everyone”.
Below are the details about the XIII Regata do Infante, which will take place on September 9th, betweem Douro Marina to Ribeira do Porto and Porto de Leixões.
SUSTAINABILITY
As part of the organizing entity of the Lusíadas Saúde Porto Sailing 2023 Event, BBDouro has the responsibility to raise social awareness about fuel consumption. Therefore, we present the following options for transportation during the regattas:
- Use of Electric Scooters, available at various sharing points in the city of Porto, visible here.
- Rental of Bicycles and/or scooters at Oportomotorent, in Douro Marina.
- Communication among sailors for sharing personal vehicles.
BBDouro will provide all athletes participating in the event with a cloth bag containing:
- Reusable aluminum bottle GRACE
- Single-use bottlesEarth Water
These bottles are provided by BBDouro, but we recommend that athletes bring their own bottles to reduce unnecessary expenses.
Lunches during the regattas will be provided:
- in eco-friendly packaging formats;
- and with sustainable, sourced locally, and made with fresh ingredients.
All paper supports related to the event will be avoided:
- The use of QR codes will be promoted.
- Prints will be made on Fegol Eco Paper: chlorine-free and acid-free paper with alkaline.

A Sunset Party by Lusíadas Saúde, no sábado à noite, foi um sucesso! Competidores da Regata do Infante, da Women on Water e colaboradores da Lusíadas Saúde e BBDouro, desfrutaram de uma noite de convívio, música, dança, comida e um ou dois brindes.

As previsões fizeram-nos tremer ligeiramente na reunião de equipa BBDouro às 08:00. Estávamos preparados para a chuva, mas todos preferíamos um dia sem percalços.
